Very gracious thoughts in your response, my dear son. You know, I never put it together that we had some of the same stuff in the junior and high school years. From the parental point it was really a thing with you. But, I don't think I ever had to accompany you to the office to get you back in school like my Dad did at Goshen High School. So yeah, Golden genes going down. My Dad was a character as well.

Interesting thoughts dad! I remember always having a car to drive, living in nice houses in Goshen (even if they were given to us by church members tonuse sometimes) and being taken to tennis tournaments (where my shoes with holes in the toe from dragging on my serve definitely stood out in that ritzy crowd!). My point is, you made ends meet for us (you and mom) and made growing up a relaxing and stress free time at least from a home stability standpoint. You sacrificed alot and I’m grateful for your sacrifices and efforts to make your childrens lives comfortable. Oh yeah, and apparently I got my mischievous streak from you! Or maybe its just from growing up bored in small town USA… probably both. :)
