Several years ago I started writing short short stories for my children. Memories created a long list of topics. Experiences that the kids probably had not heard about like riding in a horse drawn farm wagon while my dad hand picked corn. Yelling gee and haw and getting the horses confused about their next step. Of course, getting dad upset. Not many kids had that experience unless they were Amish.
Recently I wrote a longer piece about my brother and his death. Started thinking about other experiences I would like to share. So I decided to do this project: tales from 79 years of life experience. Funny, sad, interesting and all-in-all I hope entertaining. There will be a back story for those wanting to learn about the life long spiritual quest running along side the tales like sitting in a gravel pit all day after breaking cables on a crane and sleeping under an overpass bridge on I-80 in Nebraska. You know, just average and ordinary happenings.
Free subscribers will get the tales weekly. Paid subscribers will get the tales and the meandering search for meaning a couple times a month. Join me on this journey of life review.
